Losing His Religion.
During the 2008 campaign, then Senator Obama was a “true believer”; “if you are a family making less than $250,000 a year, you will not see your taxes go up.” The faithful cheered and the Senator moved up to a new pulpit on Pennsylvania Avenue.
But the religion of Washington DC is different than what Obama had believed on the campaign trail, so yesterday, in an interview with Bloomberg BusinessWeek, President Obama acknowledged that he beginning to have doubts in his faith; middle-class tax increases are now on the table. In a discussion on solutions for the deficit, the President said that he was willing to believe in anything: “The whole point of it is to make sure that all ideas are on the table, so what I want to do is to be completely agnostic, in terms of solutions.”
It is time to believe in someone else brothers and sisters. Change has found our political savior and soon change will be all that we have left for the collection plate.
Massive deficits are the new demon in this town and the religion of government knows of only one way to exorcise them; tax increases for the middle-class.
