An Open Letter to Glenn Beck

March 9, 2010

Dear Glenn,

There was a time in your past when one by one your co-workers, friends, family and loved ones all took you aside, gently placed their hand on you shoulder and told it to you the truth; you are messing up Glenn and you need to get straightened out.  You did not listen to them and unfortunately you had to hit rock bottom before things got straightened out.

Once again people are publicly and privately telling you that something is amiss.  People who care about you have noticed missing a few details that you would have never missed before.  A misquote here, a stretched fact there, an interview gone wrong and suddenly your fans, friends and viewers are getting worried.  Maybe you need to take some time off; a no books, no news vacation on a beach somewhere in the tropics, where global warming keeps the sun hot and the breeze cool all year round.

Take a step back.  Listen to what your friends are saying.

NBC, CBS, ABC, CNN, NY Times and HuffPo are all going to have a field day with the Massa interview.  They do not care how tough you are on him or what information you actually get out of him, all that they are going to do is show the picture of you sitting down with him when the real story about Massa’s “problems” comes out.

Remember, the Democrats know exactly what is in the Massa ethics report.

Love and kisses,

Brian O’Connor

Just to be clear, I am a Glenn Beck fan.

I think Beck having Massa is the very best thing he could do.

Massa obviously isn’t getting a fair shake from either part of the media.

Malkin was fixated on Mass having some ‘spin’ when the fact was: MASSA RESIGNED.

      Re: Listening to your “friends”

The very best thing I ever did in my life was to move cities, change numbers and make it
virtually impossible for those LOSERS to contact me with their endless “you can’t do this,
      you can’t do that” garbage.

My Dad gave me great advice “Focus on #1 and screw the rest”

Beck is doing what he thinks is right and giving Massa a platform to speak/debate
is hands down the best television you will ever see this week.

If Nixon could go to China or Frost could interview Nixon…then Beck/Massa is small potato

If you don’t agree with Beck, you are more than welcome to watch OlberNazi.

As far as the invite to watch “OlberNazi”, I’ll pass. Nowhere in my post did I say I was going to stop listening/watching Glenn if he did not listen to my advice.

Glenn’s friends, like Michelle Malkin or even myself, are advising Glenn to keep away from Eric Massa; that man is bad news. As I predicted, there are already reports being circulated that Mr. Massa had a penchant for inappropriately fondling his male staffers. The former Rep. from New York is going to die a slow death of 1000 cuts. Glenn would be better served focusing on more important issues and avoiding the taint that Massa is going to spread.

“Glenn’s friends, like Michelle Malkin or even myself, are advising Glenn to keep away from Eric Massa;”

I feel there’s an ‘or else’ in there.

“As I predicted, there are already reports being circulated that Mr. Massa had a penchant for inappropriately fondling his male staffers.”

Kinda like when OlberNazi wouldn’t shut up about Scott Brown being a “In short, in Scott Brown we have an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, teabagging supporter of violence against woman and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”

“Glenn would be better served focusing on more important issues and avoiding the taint that Massa is going to spread.”

Oh, so I get it. YOU KNOW BEST!

    You’re the one responsible for Beck’s multi-million viewer ratings, #1 best-seller
books and Beck’s countless appearances, magazine covers and endless series of op-eds
    written about Beck.

You just don’t get it. You’re stuck in the Republicans Vs.Democrats idiocy, and Beck wants
to move away from that. I’m sick of how neo-cons/creationists/911 truthers will join/agree
with you…but if you dare argue that the earth billions of years old: you’ll get called every
    name in the book.

    Screw that.

The RNC has screwed up beyond all comprehension. At least with the Democrats you know
you’re going to get screwed, the RNC does it by lying straight to your face and then once
    elected…Scott Brown?

Glenn’s reaction to the dust up with Michelle Malkin was classy. He apologized on air and included the links for both Michelle’s website,, and her book, Culture of Corruption in his daily newsletter which reaches millions of people. Manners, dignity and class that we all would do well to emulate.

I have to completely agree with just about everything in your letter to Glenn. It seems like Glenn has become the new “King of all Media”. He has a radio & TV show, writes books, does all kinds of appearances, runs his own magazine etc.

I have been thinking for several years now Glenn better slow down or he is going to burn out and/or his wife will divorce him because he can’t be home all that much. Plus, Glenn Beck is Mormon. To be a “good Mormon” you have to be going to church every Sunday, have at least one calling, go to the Temple (if you are in good standing with the church), go home teaching once a month etc.

I used to listen to Glenn way back in 2001. I had a feeling he was going to be “big” in the radio bizness. And he is that and so much more. I can’t listen to his radio show anymore because it is so “busy” with Stu & Pat. There is so much nonsense and wasted time on the radio show.
But the thing that Glenn did that made me loose all respect for him was the night on his Fox tv show when he was talking about Barney Frank. Now I know I’m not perfect and neither is Glenn Beck. And I’m no fan of Barney Frank’s. But when Glenn started making fun of Mr. Frank’s speech problem on live TV that did it for me. What if one of his kids had a handicap and someone was making fun of his kid? Glenn wouldn’t like it I’m sure. To me Glenn show be a better example of what a Mormon strives to be. Glenn has an immense amount of influence, what a waste of that influence to make fun of someone’s handicap just because he (Glenn) doesn’t agree with his politics.
