Is Mark Critz Really Running for Congress?

April 13, 2010

I have seen the adds on TV.  I have read in and that he is running.

There is even a website promoting his candidacy.

It says that he is for:

  • Creating Jobs
  • Fighting for Veterans
  • Protecting Western Pennsylvania Values

All noble goals, but what does that really mean?  Where does Mark Critz stand on the more controversial issues that really matter to Pennsylvanians, like:

  • Healthcare Reform
  • Cap and Trade
  • Amnesty
  • TARP
  • The Stimulus Bill
  • Bank Bailouts
  • Out of Control Spending in Washington DC
  • The National Debt

John Gizzi wrote an excellent article today; “How can someone run for Congress—or any office, for that matter—and duck positions on controversial issues?”

So where do you stand Mark?

I like puppies. They’re cute. If you agree, vote for me! (Great strategy…Vote for Tim Burns instead of this lightweight!)

Well, I do not think we have the time to fully debate the controversial puppy issue, but if we decide to leave “Puppygate” behind, I will agree with you, Tim Burns is the right choice in PA-12.

You’ve thrown down the gauntlet, Brian. I love puppies and here are 12 reasons why: (I hope your spam filter doesn’t wipe this out!)

With that said, I believe Tim Burns would dig my “doggy dozen”, so that would cancel out any affinity his opponent might have for cute canines. On the rest of the issues, (you know, minutia like jobs, taxes, the economy, national security, liberty vs. tyranny, etc.), Tim wins by a landslide!
