Doesn’t Fit the Narrative

April 20, 2010

Eyjafjallajökull volcano in Iceland recently erupted.  The Main Stream News Media has done countless stories documenting the explosions with amazing photos and videos of the ash spewing 30,000 feet in the air.  There have been countless stories of how the eruption has affected air travel, comic takes on the pronunciation of the volcano’s name and even a story Monday night on how ash in the air might cause health problems for the residents of Iceland.

Have you noticed what hat the News Media has not discussed?

Global Warming.

Volcanic eruptions, such as this one in Iceland release water vapor (H2O), carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), hydrogen chloride (HCl), hydrogen fluoride (HF) and ash into the atmosphere (listed in order of concentration).  If carbon dioxide, causes global warming, then a massive discharge of carbon dioxide gasses into the atmosphere should have a considerable effect of global temperatures.

But the News Media is not reporting that part of the story.  Why?

Because it does not fit the narrative.

The President, Democrats and News Media have all bought into the theory that global warming is man made.  Modern man creates carbon gasses and he alone is responsible for the global warming trends.  Cars, factories, power plants, it is the actions of man that has caused this threat to the planet; the planet itself could not have any effect, that does not fit the narrative.

Which would be a good theory, if temperatures had not dropped over the past 10 years.

Which would be a good theory, if carbon dioxide made up a significant portion of our atmosphere (its only .038%).

Which would be a good theory, except that carbon dioxide is plant food.

If you promise to not tell anyone where you heard this information, because I fear government retribution, I will tell you what I have discovered, the real culprit behind the warming and cooling of our planet.

It is that big ball of molten fire that you and I call the sun.

You will not hear the News Media talking about the effect of this volcanic eruption on global temperatures, because it does not fit the man made global warming mantra that they have preached for years.

Evidently, facts have no place in modern journalism.

4/20/2010 Update: Several more news stories about the ash, economic effects of the eruption and stranded passengers, no mention of how the massive release will impact global temperatures.

4/21/2010 Update: More news on the volcano; travel stories, airlines opening up even amazing photos of the ash/steam causing lightning.  No mention of CO2 or Global Warming.
