PA-12: The Baloons Didn’t Drop

May 19, 2010

Tim Burns' Consession Speech

Even with one win, Tuesday night was a tough one for PA-12 Republican congressional candidate Tim Burns.  After a hard fought special election battle for John Murtha’s former congressional seat, Burns came up short in the vote count, losing to Democrat challenger and former Murtha Aid Mark Critz 53%-45%.

Stud Reporter Stacy McCain of The OTHER McCain did an amazing job updating the story all night long; Read it here: PA-12 LIVE Election Results.

Burns did win his primary battle against Bill Russell 57%-43%, which means he will be facing Critz once again in the November elections.

More detail about the day in PA-12 to follow this afternoon.

We need to get busy between now & Nov. Critz may be a clone of Murtha. We don’t need it. Enough is enough.

The only loss last night was to the citizens of the 12th. Dig in Tim we are just getting started.

It is time to asses the positives and negatives of the campaign, staff and strategy; fix whatever needs to be fixed, and begin anew. November is right around the corner.
