New Nikki Haley Commercial, With Her Husband by Her Side

June 2, 2010

Obviously, under the current circumstances, the fact that Nikki Haley’s husband is by her side in her latest commercial is a strong message to those that wish to destroy her reputation or use allegations to derail her campaign.  Nikki Haley is still in the race and it is her intent to serve the people of South Carolina.

Meanwhile, Will Folks is talking up a “suggestion” that was made to him from a prominent and heretofore unnamed Haley donor.  Folks is posing that his inability to prove an affair with Haley has more to do with him “saving a few bullets” for a possible book deal, rather than him just not having the required ammo to take down a gubernatorial candidate; i.e. evidence.

I am sure such comments will cause an uproar in the blogosphere.  Click back later this evening for more updates.

UPDATE: 6/2 3:05 pm – The Other McCain has suggested a title for the upcoming Folks book:

Honey, I Shtupped the Candidate

UPDATE II: 6/2 4:05 pm – It seems as if the Bauer Campaign has been doing some firing today.  From Moe Lane over at Red State;

Bye, Larry Marchant!

[South Carolinian] Republican gubernatorial hopeful Andre Bauer said today he has asked for and received the resignation of a political consultant for “inappropriate conduct” but would say little more.

Lt. Gov. Bauer announced that adviser Larry Marchant gave him his resignation at noon today.

And, Andre?

Both Erick Erickson and Stacy McCain had suggested a possible Bauer link to the Haley/Folks scandal.

Might it be that time, patience and dogged investigation is leading us on the pathway of truth?

    What an absolutely horrendous commercial. If this is suppose to get my vote, it didn’t.
    Why do we want Bobby Jindal’s female counterpart as the leader of SC?
    Why can’t we agree that a real southern, SC born and raised, for generations I might add, be our next governor?
    I truly do not think South Carolina is ready for a female governor, and I am certain, South Carolina is not up for this Haley lady who appears to be a Sanford clone.

      Yes, you are correct. This commercial will have a difficult time reaching the backwoods racists.

      I do believe that Haley is releasing another commercial soon which you might find more appealing; it features General Lee beating Sambo with a Confederate flag, all in the name of South Carolina.

    Poor Mr.Haley. Does he not know? How much did the Haley Camp have to pay him to stay with her, and to make this happy little family ad? Poor, poor fellow.

      I expect that Mr. Haley is familiar with South Carolina politics, therefore he does not need to get paid to stay, but I do agree with you about the toll this mist be taking on the family.

      Melissa Clouthier at Liberty Pundits said;

      Oh, and just as an aside, Nikki Haley has a family; and her family, her children, hear these stories. These political operatives show an absolute callous disregard for her life.
