Jake “Raghead” Knotts; Proud to be a Redneck

June 16, 2010

Seems that Jake Knotts, now famous for calling both Nikki Haley and Barack Obama a “raghead”, cannot keep his racist mouth shut.

On the floor of the South Carolina Legislature on Tuesday, Knotts said;

“I am proud to be stereotyped a redneck.  If all of us rednecks leave the Republican Party, the party would have one hell of a void.”

In typical racist rationalization, Knotts blames everyone but himself for his backwards views and comments.

“I’m sorry my disgusting remarks have offended some people …in these days and times anything you say can offend people.”

FITSnews.com thinks that the round redneck looks good in a turban (see photo above); you may beg to differ.

If the good people of Lexington County South Carolina have any sense at all, they will send Senator Knotts home this November and save the SCGOP, and all of the residents of South Carolina, from any further embarrassment.

    He is a bigot but, he is right when he says ANYTHING a person says is offensive to someone these days. Our freedom of speech is getting to be less and less. Somethimes it’s best to keep opions to ourselves when it is offensive.

      I agree that is is much easier to offend these days than it has been in the past. That being said, you cannot expect to go around make blatant racist comments, without suffering the consequences.

    I’m not so sure that it is easier to offend now than it was “before”. “Before” no one would have dared to call the President of the United States a racist epithet because the president would have been a white man. “Before” there was not a lot of shame in using racist epithets, and therefore their use would have never made the news. Our freedom of speech has obviously NOT been limited because Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck have both broadcast racist ridicule of the 11 year old daughter of the President, and they’re still on the air. There are no consequences. Sharron Angle advocates removing Harry Reid from office using “Second Amendment remedies” to “take him out” if voting doesn’t work, and instead of sitting in jail, she’s a Tea Party heroine. I am so ashamed.
