Sarah Palin to Rahm Emanuel: “u lie”

June 21, 2010

As you will recall, in a Congressional hearing last week, Texas Rep. Joe Barton (R) apologized to the corporate officers of BP for the $20 Billion “shakedown” that the White House had inflicted upon them.

“I’m not speaking for anybody in the House of Representatives but myself, but I’m ashamed of what happened in the White House yesterday. I think it is a tragedy of the first proportion that a private corporation can be subjected to what I would characterize as a shakedown. In this case a $20 billion shakedown.”

In his statement, Barton clearly states that he is not speaking for anyone but himself, but White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is attempting to link all Republicans to Barton’s comments.

“…if the Republicans were the majority, [Barton]would have actually the gavel and the chairmanship. That’s not a political gaffe, those were prepared remarks. That is a philosophy. That is an approach to what they [the GOP] see. They see the aggrieved party here is BP, not the fishermen. And remember, this is not just one person.”

“But the approach here expressed and supported by other voices in the Republican Party, sees the aggrieved party as BP, not the American — not the fishermen and the communities down there affected.”

Sarah Palin was not going to let Emanuel get away with that.  On Twitter, Palin responded;

With a hat tip to Jo Wilson(R,SC), Sarah Plain told the American people what Rahm Emanuel and Chicago politics is all about;

Rahm, u lie

Refreshing straight talk from the new Queen of the Right.
