North Korea DEMANDS $65 Trillion From the United States

June 26, 2010

In a statement honoring the 60th anniversary of the Korean war, North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-il told President Barack Obama to, “Show me the money.”

The official North Korean news agency, KCNA, says the cost of the damage done by the US since the peninsula was divided in 1945 is estimated at $64.96 trillion.  Yes, that’s trillion with a “T”.

White House spokesman PJ Crowley laughed off South Korea’s claim;

“It is time for North Korea to accept full accountability and responsibility for what has transpired over the past six decades.  Rather than submitting a preposterous bill to the United States of what? … $65 trillion, as we have said and stressed many, many times there is a choice that is available to North Korea.”

The spokesman had no response when asked why the White House was attempting to enact many of the same financial policies that destroyed North Korea’s economy here in the US.
