Rendell Affair Rumors Refuse to go Away.
The July edition of Philadelphia Magazine is hot off the presses with a story on the long-running rumors about Gov. Rendell and Dr. Kirstin Snow, the director of Commonwealth Media Services who was Miss Pennsylvania in 1994 and Mrs. Pennsylvania in 2005. It’s not quite a tell-all, since the only people willing to be interviewed for the record about rumors of an affair were Rendell and Snow. And they both deny it. The three-page article includes a full-page portrait of a smiling Rendell seated with Snow standing behind him, resting her arms on his shoulders.
No male in high-profile public office, especially one with a history of seen-in-public “friendships” with attractive women, can expect to be seen repeatedly in public with an attractive woman and not fuel eyebrow-raising rumors.
The phrase, he should know better immediately comes to mind.
But when you begin to consider that Rendell, who is married, suddenly sheds 60 pounds and is seen all over Harrisburg with a very attractive, twice divorced, 40-year-old former Miss Pennsylvania, Mrs. Pennsylvania and, more recently, Mrs. American Dream 2007, well rumors are bound to fly.
Questions have risen as to what Rendell is going to do next since his term as Governor runs out in January and chances are he will not be able to run for the Senate for at least another 6 years.
Maybe Mr. Rendell has already decided what he is going to do next.
