Red Dog Report Endorses Nikki Haley for South Carolina Governor

June 3, 2010

Nikki Haley on the campaign trail

She was “Nikki who?” until she took a double digit lead in the polls.

Since then she has been twice accused of having affairs; once by a recently fired political consultant, and once by a blogger who has repated the claim over and over and over and over and over and over again in order to increase the number of hits hit political blog gets out of the accusations.

Unsubstantiated accusations.

If there were evidence, more than the hearsay that we have been asked to swallow, but instead actual tangible evidence, it would have come to light already.  The only conclusion that can be drawn is that we are witnessing South Carolina politics at its best; a coordinated attack to discredit the most popular and qualified candidate in the field.

So where do we go from here?

Dan Riehl makes the case for supporting Haley;

I’d rather be a little wrong now, assuming any real proof of anything ever came out, which I currently doubt, than give in to low-life, bottom-feeders trying to find a safe rock to hide behind to secure their position in SC’s political stream. Unless I see some actual proof of something – a precise time, a date, hotel room number and contemporaneous corroborating statements, I’m standing with Nikki Haley and her family. And I hope SC voters do, as well.

Erick Erickson has never wavered in his support for Haley;

We have to support good candidates wherever they are. That is why we have to support Nikki Haley.  She is unquestionably conservative. She is unquestionably committed to limited government. She is not afraid to fight.  When it comes down to it, what is most important is getting the best candidate for the state of South Carolina and if that is the criterion, then the only logical choice is Nikki Haley.

And today, the Red Dog Report joins them.  Nikki Haley is by far the most qualified conservative in the race for South Carolina Governor.

The good people of the Palmetto State are tired of the shenanigans, tired of the dirty tricks and tired of the sleaze that has ruled the South Carolina political scene for decades.  South Carolina deserves better; South Carolina deserves a leader like Nikki Haley.

Vote Nikki Haley on June 8, 2010. You can also support her here.

And to all the scumbags who want to continue to muck up the South Carolina Governor’s race;

WE ARE WATCHING YOU.

UPDATE: 6/3 6:10 pm – I am not surprised to find out that a man of honor and integrity like Stacy McCain is also supporting Nikki Haley;

This isn’t about “social justice.” This is about trying to preserve some semblance of basic decency in politics. As a Southerner, I am particularly disturbed to think Nikki Haley’s enemies believe that the people of South Carolina would not only tolerate but endorse this kind of cruelty against her.

Is chivalry dead in South Carolina? Does no shred of honor remain?

NIKKI HALEY for GOVERNOR

    I for one have made up my mind that if any Republican other than Nikki Haley is the nominee, I will be voting for Vince Sheheen. He may not be conservative, but he is smart, just like Nikki, and that is what we need in the Governor’s office. Vote Nikki Haley.

    How bout Jake Knotts, Larry Richter’s partner in crime calling Nikki Haley a raghead. On the air…

    It really happened

      I see we have yet to dredge the bottom of the South Carolina sewer.

      When we get to the bottom of that sewer, that’s where we’ll find Larry Richter, Rod Shealy and Jake Knotts

    Why do we care who you support for South Carolina’s governor? You live in Penn.
